From the workshop / a one-off exploration

A little airport.
A lot of character.

Fourteen character flaps. Seven across, two rows, and a gentle cascade of movement. The idea: a mechanical split-flap flight display, wrapped in warm wood and made for one very particular place.

02 / SEVEN ACROSS. TWO ROWS.Concept animation and sound design. Example speed and altitude. Not footage of a working prototype.

Something you can hear change.

For the ones who
miss the clatter.

There is something lovely about an old airport board: the pause, the movement, the new destination appearing one letter at a time. I want to explore that feeling in a wooden object you can live with.

Think a desk, a reading room, a favorite corner of the workshop. A larger relative of the LED box, with its own completely different rhythm.

01

Wood all around.

A warm, substantial enclosure. The wood, finish and final proportions would be part of the conversation.

02

Mechanical by intention.

Rotating character flaps, rather than a video on a screen. The film explores the look; the mechanism and flight-data connection still need to be engineered.

03

One build. Your place.

This is an invitation to discuss a one-off project. Joining the list does not reserve a unit or commit you to buying one.

your kind of thing?

Leave your email and tell me what you have in mind. I’ll share meaningful progress and get in touch if a one-off build looks possible.

No price, deposit, or promise of availability. Just a conversation with the maker.
